At Bambuti , we believe that the best experiences are those lived authentically . We are two brothers passionate about the Douro Valley , the region where we grew up and which inspires us every day to share its beauty , culture , and traditions with those who visit us .
Our mission is to provide unique and memorable experiences in the heart of the Douro Valley. We organize carefully planned tours that combine nature, gastronomy, wine , and adventure, allowing each visitor to discover the true spirit of this extraordinary region .
Our tours include visits to wineries, wine tastings , boat trips on the Douro River, horseback riding experiences , and traditional meals lovingly prepared by our dear Aunt Minda , who brings the genuine flavors of Portuguese cuisine to the table .

During a peacekeeping mission in Africa, one of the brothers began to envision a tourism project in the Douro region, always in contact and constantly exchanging ideas with his brother in Portugal. That's how the idea for BAMBUTI began to take shape.
Back in Portugal, the two brothers traveled to Évora to buy the first vehicle for the project: a Safari jeep, designed to create different experiences in the Douro Valley.
At the beginning of 2024, the jeep underwent a complete restoration, preparing it to begin its first tours in the Douro region.
The official launch of BAMBUTI took place, initially with Safari experiences in the Douro Valley, exploring the region's landscapes, vineyards, and villages.
In the following months, and with the growth of Douro tours, the need arose to offer more comfort, and they also began working with 8 and 9-seater vans for small groups.
In the early days, lunches were served at Aunt Minda's house, a family-run space overlooking the Douro River, where visitors could sample traditional Portuguese food.
Another important step was the partnership with Quinta de Fornelos, where the brothers restored an old wine cellar and began developing Douro wine tastings and wine experiences.
